What Would They See????

I haven't felt the need to write anything here for quite a while.  Not because I don't have any opinions, feelings or exciting stories to share, but I guess putting it in writing takes a certain frame of mind for me.  If I was sitting down with any of you and just talking about whatever comes to mind it would be easy.  I always have an opinion on something unless I don't know anything about the subject. My filters are not the best and if you know me, you know I do not do PC or say what is the least inflammatory just to have a "nice" conversation.  In most cases I do try to see and understand both sides though.

I have been saddened, disgusted, angry, confused and so disappointed in what I read and hear in the news lately.  If only it was just the news, but these feelings come from conversations with family and friends also.   There is just so much hate and intolerance in the world right now, it's like the building pressure before the eruption of a volcano or an earthquake.  I often wonder if there was another race looking down on us from space, what they would see.

I have always believed that in most cases, the beginning of aggression comes from the fear of loss of money or power of some sort. Greed plays a big role also.  Look to history and these are constants.
No one is exempt from these motivators, it's just a matter of degree.  As an example, which of us would not fight to protect our home or family.  Or to simply survive. No one.  Then why do we condemn or find fault with someone else who is doing the same thing?  Are these people not entitled to the same feelings as you?  Obviously there are many who think so.  If you lived in a place that was dominated by corruption, fear and death, wouldn't you do whatever you could to escape and survive.
Of course you would. So why do you condemn others who are doing the same?
The implied or actual loss of personal power or the belief that you are better than some others is what drives the hate or intolerance.  On a higher level, do not ever think that people with more power and money will not fight harder to maintain what they have.  To that end they will lie, manipulate and cheat anyone who would threaten it. The sheep that we have become makes it easy for then.

These are not new issues and have been around forever.  There are two ways to win or change things.  Be the one with the most marbles in the game or by uniting many small groups with a common goal that together will be louder, stronger and smarter than the other side.  Right now the ones with all the marbles are winning and we are letting them by sitting back and saying and doing nothing.  Either from fear of disapproval, or because your personal world is status quo right now so you think you don't need to worry.  We all need to worry, if not for ourselves, then for our children.

Stop hating, thinking you are better than others, and realize we are all the same except for our religious beliefs, cultural differences and how we choose to see the world.
